Forgot about this thread. Great bounce. It also allows me to introduce you to the new addition to my household.
There is an Albion connection as well. Let me explain.
The late great Super Paul McCarthy would often text me on a Sunday morning around 8ish asking if was going to the "Weirdos Pub" (his name for my local at the time) later? I would more often than not be heading down there but not until after lunch. So I would tell him I'd see him around 3ish. Said pub is right on the edge of the Ashdown Forest so Macca would take his dog out and end up there for a swift 4 or 5 (or 6 or 7). I used to joke that his poor dog would have just stumps left by the time he's walked for 6 or 7 hours. He used to say "Phil, if you lived in a house full of women and the only one that listened to you was the dog you'd find an excuse to be out of the house for as long as possible".
Some of those Sundays were hard work for me. Paul drank quickly anyway but having walked probably 20 miles it was hard keeping up with a thirsty irishman especially when I was a) normally hungover from being at football the day before and b) full of roast dinner.
Paul passed 6 years ago in February so when this little fella was offered to me around Christmas time I thought what better way to pay tribute/remember the fella than calling him Mac. He'll be 7 months old tomorrow and he's already as friendly as the big fella was. But he is a bit of a terror at times. I'm hoping as he gets older he'll have the same laid back personality Paul had.

My dog is sadly entering the final overs of her innings, so the pet cemetery at the back of Chez Hart might get another interment soon.

So sorry to hear that. My sister has had numerous German Shepherds and has a pet cemetery in her garden where she has lived for over 30 years. We haven’t kept any of our 4 legged friends and I have no problem remembering them all but she and her husband wouldn’t have it any other way.My dog is sadly entering the final overs of her innings, so the pet cemetery at the back of Chez Hart might get another interment soon.

Really didn't want another dog after our last one passed,it took a while 4 days to change my mind,the house just wasn't complete without a dog so we rescued this 3 year old lummox,we had her DNA tested here's the breakdown.
40% American Bulldog

Nice, I really like lurchers. A breed apart, although have recently departed from the 50% sighthound. Have 2 lab/greyhound/American staff crosses that are bags of fun. Faster than similar dogs but my 10 Yr old lurcher absolutely destroys them for pace still.
Three dogs is certainly one too many though

Not on a wind up or looking for attention but the first 2 breeds you listed are responsible for several deaths of babies / young children over the last few years and caused some serious injuries to a fair few adults too .
Not a breed of dog I would want anywhere near children period . It’s also in my view usually the ‘wrong type ‘ of people that own dogs like that .
Please spare me the daft as a brush line , they can turn highly aggressive and dangerous in the blink of an eye .
And whilst it’s true to say any dog can suddenly turn it is an animal after all , the majority of other dogs with the exception of dogs like German shepherd and Rottweilers are not built powerfully enough in their jaw area to kill easily .
I think these types of dogs should be banned .
And yes I do know a small child that was seriously hurt by an American pit bull .

Frankly you’ve said all this before on other threads. I’ve no idea why you thought it might be a good idea to insult people and dogs on this thread with your obvious snobbery, but you won’t be doing it again. Maybe read the first post again?
