Sterling and Azpili. Sterling on loan, Azpi for single digit MMs. Sterling can re-find form in a style that suits his abilities. Azpi can cover both full back slots.

I'm not sure Sterling's attitude is yet right. Although, I agree he needs a reset and Chelsea may not be the place.

Remember, Todd may go for broke and keep them all. He'll just spend every game in the dressing room telling them they have to win or he's lost his house!

Also to all those

not true though is it. We signed Gilmour from Chelsea, a very highly rated full international for a seven figure sum. I agree the majority of their players are out of our range but not all.
I believe Billy had one or maybe 2 years left on this contract so covered by the "near end of contract thing". He fit our MO of snaffling fringe youth players looking for a path to first team football same as Lamptey did. Neither were first team regulars for Chelsea nor were they already on big time Charlie money. I'll leave alone debating if a horrible season at Norwich is the sort of premier league experience we would be seeking too!

I really can't see us signing any of Chelsea's 162 first team players as they are all on big money, regardless of what transfer fee they may be made available for. Even on a free many would still cost us too much!

Keep your hair on.

It was simply another way of saying 'I agree'.

(And there is no need to reply to tell me that you're bald).
How did you know I have recently undergone an on the cheap (in Turkey) Wayne Rooney like hair transplant and have a birds nest on my head with skin that looks like I have the measles.

I mean seriously how could you be so cruel!!! 😉

why buy Chelsea players when we can get young hungry players from abroad.
All their current crop of players are only interested in money and have greedy agents as well

It’s also being reported that many players at Chelsea are having a pay cut due to no CL football next season. That must be contractual as they’re not doing it voluntarily. Still out of our league wage wise no doubt, but a little bit closer.

Id try for Colwill but get that he is likely to be too expensive- English CB, young, great quality and most likely bought by another top 6 rival. Shame because he is fantastic but something tells me Boehly won’t sell him for cheap (or at all)

It won't just be us with that attitude. Chelsea players will be on such wonga that very few teams outside the BIg 6 (or is that 7?) would be able to afford them. They're going to have a hell of a job trying to shift them,

The wage structure has increased every year, and we ‘know’ with some players we will push the boat out. I guess the problem is it’s the chain reaction it causes.

Unless the club can really push commercial revenues on, or we the fans accept more player sales then it’s a tough ask I guess.

Even Europa League is only about £20M a season extra revenue
I expect The Tunnel Club will bring in tens of millions.

SkySports are reporting that Vincent Kompany has been short-listed for the Chelsea manager's job.
Along with Nagelsman, Pochettino and one other unnamed candidate (hopefully not RDZ).
