But there is a very easy way to prove that they have been manipulated - which is for Hancock et al to release the originals. If they don't correct the record, we can assume they are genuine?
Wish he would do this, Press Holdings are benefiting commercially from this and the material has been illegally sourced. This is a partisan publication that always had a clear agenda with Covid, they will spin it to meet their narrative and protect their friends as appropriate.

Matt Hancock 'Hi, Isobel'
Isabel Oakshott 'Hi Matt'
MH 'I was wondering if you could help write a book about me'
IO. 'err, sure
MH 'Great. What Is want to check a few things, are you the same IO who wrote all those things about what a shit job I was doing as health minister?'
IO 'yep '
MH 'Great, and are you the same IO who wrote the book about my mate Dave sticking his cock in a pig head?'
IO 'yep, that was was me and a friend, yep did that'
MH 'Great, and are you the IO who published some leaked documents that resulted in the resignation of the ambassador to the USA after he criticised Donald Trump off the record?'
IO 'yep, that was me too '
MH 'great, really great, and are you the IO who is shacked up with the leader of Reform UK who would benefit greatly from turmoil in the Tory party?'
IO 'yep, certainly am'
MH 'Wonderful. Right what I'll do is hand over all my personal correspondence relating to this matter and what I'd like is for you to pick out all the stuff that makes me look good and keep quiet about all the stuff that makes me look like the useless **** that I really am. If that sounds OK I guess it's time to talk about how much you want for doing this'l'
IO 'I'll do it for nothing'
MH 'my, what that's incredibly generous of you, you must really like me'.

But isn't the sole reason for a NDA to try to hide shit that both parties know is there but one party wants to keep hidden?

If there is a NDA then there is something wrong/immoral/illegal going on.

It's all been passed over the inquiry. The NDA would have been placed with legal advice from the civil service.

This is all a bit murky and possibly politically motivated. No comment from the Government unless I've missed it.

Does Hancock know you’re tapping his phone?

Frankly I don't trust either of them. There will be no way to prove these messages are genuine. If she wants to spill the beans publish it for all media to do their analysis

As things stand I'd still trust a slow independent enquiry more than a Murdoch hack. Accuracy over haste

Should be a slam dunk legal case for Hancock, Johnson Whitty etc.

Only Hancock has come out and said it is rubbish so far

"massive betrayal and breach of trust" says man who cheated on wife, lied to the public and broke his own lockdown rules
It’s remarkable, isn’t it that a man who inhabits such murky waters is surprised when someone else does the dirty on him.
Do they really think they are that untouchable that they can’t be exposed?
And that when exposed, they’ll get away with it?

This is the most out-of-touch group of people I have ever come across. Pure delusion.

I find it surprising people are on his side, If it was not a Brexiteer or it was about Brexit I imagine there would be more acceptance of the source.

Everything that comes out shows Hancock was running the country and didnt want it to stop anytime soon.

sounds like Johnson has been not completely unsupportive of the NI Windsor deal, isn't seeking a fight on it. imo he's looking forwad to writing his memoirs and doing the speech circuit.

His time has been and gone, an 80 seat majority did not isolate him from his own indiscipline.

I'd be prepared to spare him jail time if he just spares us. We'll be clearing up his mess for a long time yet

I'd rather have this all on the public and Hancocks feelings hurt, I'm don't think I'm in the minority.

He's been caught out lying and here is the proof, he was on a power trip.

The enquiry will be a whitewash.
Hancock has been groomed as the "fall guy" for the Covid stuff from the very beginning, it was blindingly obvious to pretty much everyone from about April 2020 that when they got round to doing the Public Inquiry about it, he'd be the one who carried the can and the Government would pin all their various failings on him. All that's really happened here is that it's come out beforehand in an attempt by him to flog a book from it.

I really think that we have had enough of Johnson. He's an ex Prime Minister and should just do the decent thing and f*** off to obscurity.

“His own indiscipline”

Perfect phrase to sum up his demise. I like that.

Sue gray appointed starmers chief of staff !
Quite a coup for Starmer. A very highly respected, competent and experienced political operator who's background is different to the majority of Whitehall. I can't see Rishi's team being too pleased about this and I'm surprised they didn't try and block it. Or maybe they did ???

That seems to be his only option at the moment. But he couched his view on the issue with suitable vagueness, leaving the door open for a return if the right moment arises.
