He's a kid from a developing country. His wages and his agent's actions fill a lot of pockets, including family. We're Brighton and Hove Albion. He'd never heard of us 5 years ago. We're playing in the top 10 of the Premier League - this is what happens.

Results is a small part of the job but if someone says that the results are better when they're not, then I'm going to comment on the "results" thing and not on other aspects.

If we look at the old management vs the new management in its entirety instead, there's indeed things that are better and things that aren't better now.

Except a loss under RDZ is far more palatable than the dross Potter served up in our losses.

Stelling: Why would Brighton sell a player and weaken their chances at their first ever shot at Europe?

Merson: But why wouldn't Brighton roll out the red carpet to help Arsenal win the title?

The problem of employing ex-players as pundits personified in one man.

Is that real? Did Merson actually say that?

Interesting that experienced journalists like such as Naylor and Winter have really picked up on this imbecilic organisation where as corporate sponsored ‘half’ journalists like Jacobs won’t dare criticise them.

It seems to me that even if Arsenal or Chelsea manage to wave enough money under the nose of TB to make him interested, this outfit have neither the experience, ability, integrity or just plain gumption to be able to pull off an £80m+ transfer.

As soon as Moises had hired this outfit, he’d forfeited his chance of a January move by hiring a clown squad. I honestly believe that they don’t reach the level of competence needed for our club to deal with them (or even communicate with them) over an aggressive transfer out of our club.

Too late for Moises to change now, but he might want to think about it for the summer.
I see that this Kuntish agency is now doing EXACTLY the same thing for it’s only other non-league 2 client, another Ecuadorean (with a contract to 2026) valued at £80m+.

“A summer deal would be more likely for a player who is happy at his current club and still learning his trade.”

They are briefing the press such BS and totally unsettling players on long term contracts at good clubs. Why ****ers like Jacobs give them any oxygen whatsoever is beyond me.

He could, but do you think TB will pay MC the same that he can get at Arsenal?
No, but regarding comments like 'he could get a career ending injury', Bloom could ensure he was on the kind of salary that meant he and his family would have many millions.

If he stays (which I suspect will be the case), then the way this has been played out I can see an adverse crowd reaction for him if/when he next dons the stripes at the Amex. Which would be sad, and counter-productive, but not entirely unjustified.
I'm not so sure. Like you say it would be counter productive, so it's very much in the club's interest to keep the fans on his side. I'll be disappointed if the club don't orchestrate some press releases to show he's happy to stay etc. And I think our fans are generally forgiving of players who've looked elsewhere but stayed.

I hope your're right and that this has somehow gone a bit "under the radar" for the majority, but this is quite a big splash so I can't see too many being relatively unaware.

If he's in an Albion shirt again this season, then my feeling is that some people will let it be known what they think about this little saga, and BOOO. But I will hold back, because thats not helping anyone. However, next season, when he returns with his "dream club", then he will get absolute Cucurella-style dogs abuse. And I will fully join in, hoping that it utterly breaks him just as it did with our other 1-season show pony.

Thats how I feel.
He’s one of our own, he’s one of our own, Tony Bloom, he’s one of our own

I would put good money on the fact he’s been offered a new contract to make him one of our best earners, but rejected it, making the whole sympathy-for-his-family card played by his agents even more disingenuous.

I know there wasn’t the ridiculous Instagram post but what was the reaction when Dale Stephens returned to the team after his episode?

I think we all know he’s off in the summer if not now. So if he’s still here in February then I’d imagine he’ll get no particular reaction. We won’t exactly feel like giving him any love but we still want him to play well so there won’t be any hate either.

I think both he and Dunk were both well supported after their respective transfer pushes. In the case of Dale, he straight away got his head down and I remember you couldn’t fault his effort and performances. There wasn’t any negative stuff, at least I don’t remember any.

The lad is certainly being a little short sighted here I feel.

Seems to be the way in football and I wonder how much the agents have to do with this thinking.

Stay for the season and have a wider choice of club in the summer. There are a lot of big clubs in dire need of a play like Caiceo, I would guess that he would be in the top three targets (behind Bellingham and somewhere around Rice).

He'll also be six months older and six months more experienced with more to offer his new club.

Still what do I know, footballers seem to be highly impatient in these situations.
I wonder what trickery happens in the offers e.g.
Arsenal to MC and agent: engineer his exit from Brighton now and we offer 20% more salary and agent bonus than we will in June....??? who knows, lots of variables I feel
