One day he'll be gone, I do wonder what it'll be that made him go though..

Now you've had the chance to digest yesterday's historic events what did you make of Boris Johnsons apology?
"Insincere" would sum it up.

All Tory MPs now need to put Country before Johnson.

A Johnson apology? The one to Liverpool? https://www.theguardian.com/media/2004/oct/16/pressandpublishing.conservativeparty

The one where he lied to his boss about lying about his private life? https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2004/nov/14/uk.conservatives

When he was sacked from the Times for making up quotes? https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2013/03/...g-edward-ii-and-his-gay-lover-piers-gaveston/

When he called Muslim women pillar boxes? https://www.express.co.uk/news/poli...mophobia-inquiry-burqa-bank-robber-letter-box

When he wouldn't return from holiday when the city he was mayor of was in flames? https://www.standard.co.uk/hp/front...ng-to-return-from-holiday-abroad-6430659.html

To Nazanin Zaghari for keeping her in prison for another five years? https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-prison-husband-daughter-letter-a9226936.html

For the lie about the NHS on the bus? https://www.independent.co.uk/voice...te-leave-campaign-jeremy-corbyn-a9204591.html

For lying to the Queen about the legality of proroguing parliament? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...rt-ruled-prorogation-Parliament-unlawful.html

Or the other apology to the Queen as his office was on the lash the night before she was made to sit alone at her husband's funeral? https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/uk...rtied-queen-mourned-death-husband-2022-01-14/

Or has he finally apologised to Stuart Collier for conspiring with the fraudster Marcus Guppy to have him assaulted? https://www.theguardian.com/politic...hnson-phone-call-darius-guppy-demands-apology

Oops, my mistake. Just noticed that the OP refers to yesterday's apology. Oh I'm sure that one was sincere. Whatever could ever make anyone think that he might be apologising to dig himself out of a hole that he dug with his own lies?

I don't find his behaviour staggering, it's too predictable for that, What I do find staggering is the sheer stupidity of people voting for him, what kind of governance and life were they looking for?

Ultimately it is not a personal issue and I don't understand how anyone can 'love' or 'hate' the PM. We don't know him... so no one can judge at that level.

We can only make up our minds on this one matter... 'Is he fit to lead and represent our people?' Separating out the personal and focusing on his actions and inactions over time, I believe the answer is that he is not.

Couldn't give a toss really. There are far more important and worrisome events going on in the world.

There are but as Starmer rightly says here, it's about the complete disregard for those of us that couldn't be there during a family member's final moments or attend a funeral or a wedding because we followed the rules. The conservatives and especially Johnson love opinions like yours.

Knowing him, he will probably claim it backs as expenses.

I think that is the last thing he would do either in person or by delegation. Remember his personal finances are in utter turmoil and not just because he can't keep it in his trousers for very long. He is a hopeless optimist as well as a compulsive liar. He never has a plan other than to bumble his way through everything and hope he can make people laugh along and then someone else will foot the bill.

Why do people even bother to comment that they don't care about the topic of the thread?

Why do people bother to agree with those sentiments?

Just watching the Prime Minister's Conduct Debate on BBC Parliament and only seven bums on the government benches. Shameful.

They have important business and board meetings to attend, either that or they haven't finished lunch yet.

I agree that there are more important things to be getting on with. I also agree that the government should get on with sorting out people's priorities.

The problem is, the government seem incapable of doing just that anyway.

Fair enough; so why bother to say so?.... just ignore the thread and me and save yourself some time.

Why are you bothering me? I said I don't care what you think.

Sorry to be bothering you; of course you are entirely entitled to spend time on things and opinions you don't care about. It was a genuine question but doesn't require an answer.
