I missed what has Alonso done? I saw him all over Tariq, but the fans were on his back early on.

Killed a young girl who was in his car when he crashed car while drunk driving at high speed. Got out of a jail sentence by paying off the victims family*, €60k and he was off Scott free.

* as is the rule in Spain.

Can't be bothered to read the whole thread but is there any mention as to why Alonso was booed all night? I was racking my brain to think of what he did at Stamford Bridge but I couldn't think of anything. Why pick on him?

Drunk driving killed his GF I think

like this from the Chelsea forum about Tuchels excuses in the interview!

"TT blames the result on tiredness, which may be an acceptable excuse if the team runs out of steam after 60-70 minutes, but we kicked off the match like we had a few spliffs in the dressing room prior to start."

.

Now given that we regularly compete with the top sides can we PLEASE start putting some the Prem’s dregs away 2 or 3-0?

It's about time we start putting the champions of Europe away 2 or 3-0.

Yes and I wouldn’t swap Hudson Oh Dear for any of our wide players.

Ive been wanting to say this since our last game with them.

Is CHO stealing a living?

He doesn't half look a bit shite.

This team seems to be growing in stature by the week. We’re bossing matches even with key members unavailable, as our strength in depth is so good. Without a doubt, the most exciting outlook I’ve ever had as a supporter.

I found this amusing tonight on Twitter :D:D:D:albion2:

I don't feel smug at all.

I'm pleased, proud, happy, etc that my team can now compete with the best in the premier league [inc Chumps of Europe].
Okay, maybe just a tad smug that we can achieve this level of competitiveness on a fraction of the big-club budget ...

Speaks volumes for the way our club is being run - players, backroom staff, manager & owner - I'm proud as!

Interesting . I would have always put Dunk as a key figure but BDB has been excellent as a centre back and much less toing and froing around the back than when Dunky plays. Mac has been brilliant and changes the way we play to a much more fluid attacking team . Alzate played tonight like he has been playing all season.

The real difference to me is that because of the absences Cucurella seemed to be everywhere.

The sheer quality of ball control, passing and movement is amazing to watch. Massive praise from pundits tonight.
Credit to GP and his players.

Just got back from the game, and wow... just wow.

Absolute terriers off the ball. The tenacity and will to simply stop Chelsea playing was incredible, as was the determination going forwards. So positive.

Cucurella was superb. I love that little fella.

As per one of the Noisy North Stand chants tonight - we're Champions of Sussex... :lolol::albion2:

Blimey, life isn't right at times, seems weird Chelsea have stuck by him.

Only 3 subs on the bench tonight, yet no complaints or crying about players being out for various reasons. For clarity, the other 6 players were 2 goalkeepers and 4 youngsters.
