Guehi is the future, Dunk is 30 this month, and won’t be considered.

1. Gallagher deserves his call-up, he has been brilliant this season.
2. Dunk is in his prime. Imagine if Italy had binned off Chiellini 7 years ago because he'd hit 30 Or Brazil with Thiago Silva.

Gallagher has been decent enough, but you look at who is in front of him in that England midfield and its difficult to see him ever being seriously involved. He's only in because of the number of dropouts, and the fact we're playing against a pub team. Southgate can use this call-up to reinforce the idea that there is a path from the U21s into the full squad. But if this was a proper game, Gallagher wouldn't have a sniff.

Gallagher has been class this season and deserves his call up - good luck to him.

Can't think of any other Palace players who've been called up recently, so there's hardly a palace bias.

Some of our fans are so insecure.

But if he'd been on loan at Brighton rather than Palace ..........? Hmmm.

Wonder if White's Brighton history will go against him, especially if England are going to switch to three at the back.

White got his England call up, and two caps, as a Brighton player. None as an Arsenal player, as yet.

There have been many.

We have 3 centre backs better than Guehi... Although one plays for Ireland, if Guehi gets in above the other 2, then we know its Palace Bias and nothing else.

I think Dunks time has gone, due to a certain blindness in the present England management.

However, when Webster is again achieving the levels of performance he was before his injury last season, and if he is then ignored in favour of the likes of Mings, Coady, and on present form Maguire, then serious questions will have to be asked about Southgate.

In Gareth we trust

Do we?

In fairness I'm pretty ambivalent about Gareth, I guess that's the beauty of having the most vanilla man in English football, in charge.
I don't feel I have to pick a 'side', I can just see which way the argument is going and join in with whomever is the most angry on that occasion.

That said I can't stand The Harry's.

They totally block me from Sheeboesque levels of England supporterdom.

Gallagher is on loan from Chelsea and the last capped Palace player I think was Loftus Cheek (also a Chelsea loanee) for 2 matches in 2017. Townsend picked up 2 caps just after he signed in 2016 and Zaha once in 2012 and then Andy Johnson in 2005.
Palace (and Brighton ) England internationals are very rare.
Next one for either - Lamptey ahead of Guehi ? And don’t rule out Adam Webster’s chances. But it’s probably Eze …assuming he shows similar pre injury form when he’s back next month.
