Worrall and Garner were back and Forest got first point

One two or three more signings and the points will start to add up

Disrespectful analysis of a man who was never anything other than a true professional in all his other jobs imo. I think it’s more likely that he has been sold a pup and was promised strengthening this season, not a mass exodus of experienced players.

I struggle to think of a football manager less likely to, cynically, take a basket case club on as a last payday.

I’d love to hear NooBHA take on this, but he appears to have quit NSC

Chris couldn't give a flying shite about money so he never went to Forest for the money.

Sadly most of the Club's he should have gone to had approached him when he was still not ready to get back into Management.

I think he he looked at the Squad from the outside looking in and thought that there was a good core of experienced players there that it could be built upon.

I think sadly it was full of players who had gone there for a final pay day which was a major problem. Several 30 something players who had been given 3 year Contracts who were happy to just sit a collect their money and just stroll around.

Their squad is just full of mercenaries. I don't think they have actually spent a fee on anyone in the 12 months he has been there. And when you are relying on people you have told who are excess to requirements then you are on a hiding to nothing.

If I was Chris I think I would have walked out with the lack of signings to date.

Some other Clubs even now waiting in the wings waiting to swoop if Forest let him go I think. One Club has even tried to approach him 3 times. However most Clubs are all in financial trouble so not really many better options out there.

Maybe it's time for that job that JRG really wants him to take.

His contact at Forest ends at the end of this season. It's no skin off his nose to stick around till then and see if they can eventually get all the dead weight players off the wage bill and bring some others in who actually want to be successful at Forest.

What would Forest gain by sacking him ?

There was no point in bringing in a successful Championship Manager and providing him with no tools to make them successful. They might as well just let his contact run down and see what he can do with what players they do bring in before the transfer window closes.

Either way. Chris won't be short of offers if Forest do sack him.

They have a couple of exciting kids in the squad but the experienced players around them. Too many of them are invested in themselves and not the club which is a shame. And you can't really see that from the outside looking in before you agree to take a job.

I used to enjoy NooBHA insights, unfortunately a rather annoying poster who also no longer appears to be here kept harassing him.

Who harassed me ?

One or two posters got on my nerves occasionally but for the most part I got on with most people.

I think one poster once reported to Mods for something I said to him but for the most part I try to interact politely with everyone.

You could well be right. He is ready to hang up his socks. I thought he had more about him really to bow out like that. I always thought it was a strange move for him, he seemed more like a West Bromich fit.

They were ,1st Club to approach him after leaving Brighton. He just wasn't ready at that point to take another job .

That's a shame. If you're not fully committed to any job, you are not going to be happy doing it, so it had to be the right decision I suppose. Perhaps a different country beckons if he wants to carry on?

Chris getting a new couple of toys (a right back and a central midfielder done, and a winger on the way, possibly Josh Maja or other striker as well) today. Hopefully it will help him, should at least get two more weeks now to try his new boys.

Dramatic last day of the window for Nottingham yesterday.

They were about to sign Josh Maja from Bordeaux, I think it would have been excellent for them, but he failed his medical (some back problem) leaving them a little bit in the shit. But they did bring in some new guys at least:

Two new right backs, Djed Spence (loan) and Mohamed Dräger (from Olympiakos), meaning that in total they signed three new right backs this transfer window which is... interesting. They also signed a new central midfielder, Braian Ojeda, some kind of Paraguayan midfielder who appear to be very talented. And then finally, as they couldnt sign Maja, they brought in West Ham striker Xande Silva who has a borderline hopeless goal scoring record of 9 goals in 117 games at not-so-good levels. Oh well. Maybe there is something in the free agents-box.

Remains to be seen if this is enough to save CH (and/or Nottingham).

Losing a 1-0 lead (again) vs Cardiff, now down 1-2. Unless something spectacular happens in the last 15 minutes of this game, this is the end.

Throwing away a 1-0 lead, now 1-2 down.

I can't see Chris still being in charge after today.

Feel badly for Chris. I'm certainly not revelling in his disappointing tenure at Forest. I really appreciate everything he did while he was here and getting us to and consolidating us in the PL.

But I fear this is the end for him at Forest. Hard to see who will take a chance with him at Championship or lower PL level now. Maybe promote a L1 sleeping giant like Ipswich to rebuild his reputation?

That may be true, but this is a results business.

Doesn't look good.

They look like they’re trying for the manager , they’re just not good enough

They’ve tried to be positive and committed bodies forward, but they’re a very limited bunch of players on today’s showing

They can sack Chris but not sure anyone is going to get a tune out of this lot

Think they will be comfortably mid-table by the end of the season. Squad is by no means the worst in the league.

Hughton needs to walk, he’s one of the best Championship managers ever but he’s got nothing to work with.

Anyone watching this? On Sporting Life text commentary it is showing 14 minutes of added time so far.
Was there a bad injury or something?

Edit: Must have been a glitch on their system as it now shows fulltime at 90 + 7
