Does this class as inapropriate chanting? I know its a common one sang to both of the teams from Bristol. Just curious really.

Speaking as one those football fans who are French and we know we are (© Carlisle United), it never bothered me that the jocks from Brunton Park had a poor sense of geography. On the whole, though, I prefer original banter.

I've got my mobile to hand, ready to shop any vile racists who utter this disgusting slur.

12 months ago i would have said no
but after having been brainwashed by the twittering classes i can confirm anyone who sings this deserves a lifetime ban, public humiliation and forced to attend a diversity training workshop

preferably hosted by Rotherham Council.

Surely "We're not interested in you" given that Bristol City is slang for 'titties' and all Brighton fans are renowned homosexuals and therefore more interested in male sex parts, yeah? *joins embracing lazy stereotypes club*

There is a difference between Race and Nationality. Calling someone Welsh, whether they are or not, is not racism.

I guess that for you personally, it was kind of correct anyway? Surely you have some French ancestry?

Not so sure, was there not a recent court case where someone was found guilty of using the term 'Australian' against someone from New Zealand, and the UK Courts decided that the use of 'Australian' was a derogratory term and aggrativated racism and found guilty.

Stand-by for actions by Stewards with zero tolerance and at least five year bans.

i was up at barnsley on saturday. as soon as we went 1 - 0 up we were singing " one nil to the sheepshaggers ". if an opposing fan ever had to go to court or faced a banning order from his club for calling me a welsh twat at the match i would gladly help his corner and tell the p.c brigade i was in no way offended and it was done in the passion of following his team. its football banter, if your offended, go play bowls. also, the dove pub in doncaster road near the barnsley ground told me to tell you that brighton fans are more than welcolme to go there when you play them at oakwell later in the season. good luck tonight against the wurzels. :D

Speaking as a Shrewsbury fan, it is one of the worst insults that you can direct at a rival club's fans. Deeply hurtful and very ignorant.
