[Football] Your Predictions, Let’s be ‘aving you!

Welcome to North Stand Chat - the biggest and best Brighton & Hove Albion fan site.

Go on - join - you know you want to! (Pssst: you'll get fewer ads too!)

Right, a month or so to the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season and still in the midst of this awful pandemic. So in these abnormal times a thread of almost normal views (if that is at all possible on NSC!) of your predictions as to how it will pan out in the League. Quite simple really, your choice of who will finish in the top three, in order, and ditto for the bottom three, and finally where will the Albion find themselves at the end.

So, for me, top three - 1. Man City 2. Man Utd 3. Liverpool.

City I reckon will be unstoppable, United are at last looking a force to be reckoned with, Liverpool I feel will suffer from a title hang over.

Bottom three - 20. West Brom 19. Burnley 18. Crystal Palace.

West Brom because there’s room for only one Albion! Actually I just think that one promoted side will always struggle - sorry Baggies. Burnley for the reason that Sean Dyche will either leave or that (like Eddie Howe at Bournemouth) he and the team have become stale and not be able to replicate the resilience of previous years. Crystal Palace - on the basis of their woeful finish to the season just gone and can Roy still keep going? Methinks not.

Our beloved Albion? 12th. After lockdown we looked a competent team, and, an improving one at that. The future looks bright and under Graham Potter I can see us achieving our highest ever position in the top tier.

A couple of other mentions - teams to do well (not top three) - Wolves, Southampton, Chelsea. Strugglers - Villa (again), Sheff Utd, I just think they’ll suffer the dreaded second season syndrome, Fulham perhaps, and Newcastle because of all the uncertainty of ownership.

There you go, over to you! :drink:

I think dog wanderers will get found out as will sheff utd. Fulham, WBA, leeds, villa, us, wet sham, toon, pikeys, even burnley for the bottom half but not a clue in what order villa, fulham, WBA, wet sham and a.n.other to really come unstuck. First manager casualty sometime in October

Apart from Leeds United winning the league as well as occupying the other top four positions there is nothing that can be said before transfers are completed.

Leeds until January

Bottom
Leeds from January

In reality it's from Villa, Fulham, WBA, West Ham, Newcastle & Palace. Joking apart, Leeds could do a Sheff or Wolves or Fulham 2019.

Woy to go in Nov, Dyce in, Burnley down

Leeds start well but break our record for no wins in 2021.

ManC, ManU and Chelsea are all doing their ££££ usual of bringing in a plethora established world stars. So that’s my top 3 in order.

League football returning to who spends the most, wins.

If Arsenal or Liverpool through brilliant management can get in amongst them after 38 games, that’ll be some achievement.

Far too early to call the relegation or Championship promotion spots, transfer business (including loanees) will determine that.

Albion - 13th, with far more home wins to keep us happy.

Is it an NSC joke I'm missing about Watford ?

Some seem to think they are still upstairs.
