My favourite in Brighton is the full Vegetarian breakfast at The Ivy in the lanes .

Grilled halloumi, avocado, poached hen’s eggs, hollandaise, potato hash, flat mushrooms, roast plum tomatoes, watercress and baked beans Served with a choice of white or granary toast

Have it with a choice of tea or coffee all served beautifully with China cups & saucer & silver ( plated not solid sadly ) cutlery .

Nice laid back ambience at breakfast time but good service and for about half the price it would cost you to have it in a decent 5 star hotel in central London .

Hopefully will be reopening b4 Xmas , I’m missing my weekly trip !

Surprised and happy to see Beans as the third (currently) favourite item.

Thought they were more controversial than that.

Hang on, hang on - there’s a problem with the poll. Surely one of the options has to be “all of the above”. If you’re going to have a full English, there’s no point in holding back!! :lolol:

Some cafes allow swaps within their set breakfasts.

I swap baked beans and a grilled tomato, for additional sausages and bacon.

Getting hungry now.

Interesting that mushrooms are popular in the poll, I love them, whilst my kids think they’re the devil’s work.

A special place, we had an amazing lunch there for my birthday.

I've only recently started making scrambled eggs with butter instead of milk. Game changer

You want BOTH.

Whisk your eggs in a bowl, add a dash of milk and then melt some butter in the pan to stop the scramble sticking. Pour in whisked eggs with milk and cook.

Only on toast or with smoked salmon though. And MUST have black pepper. Never on a Full English, those eggs need to be fried (and served with pork sausages, smoked back bacon, mushrooms, black pudding and toast with some beans on the side so they don't corrupt the egg).
