Unless you are referring to proper shorthand as used by secretaries when manually writing out notes - a curious collection of lines, dots and dashes which is not unlike hieroglyphics in appearance (which my sister learnt). We didn't assume anything, we're just going on what you told us. 'Your' isn't shorthand for "you're", it's a completely different word with a different meaning, it would be like saying that "we're" and "were" are the same.

So what are you then? Gay or thick?
