York City survived the traumas of last season thanks in no small part to the support and solidarity we received from football fans the length and breadth of the country.
But we're not out of the woods yet.
The owners of our ground (BCH) and their good friends at Persimmon Homes want to force us out of Bootham Crescent, our home for over 70 years so they can build 93 yuppie flats.
They have generously
offered to help us move to an athletics stadium on the edge of town. The council wants us to go there before any permanent stands have been built, and make do with temporary stands for a few years, but with no offer of real funding to build proper stands later.
I'm sure Brighton fans will recognise the basic scenario very well...
Anyway, part of our campaign against persimmon is this open letter at http://www.petitiononline.com/FoBC/petition.html
please take a couple of minutes to read and sign it.
And then keep your eyes open for the next bits of out campaign, which have to remain secret for the time being
Thank you.
