Any chance you can kill off Quickquid and there %1783 apr payday loans please.
Some times it is enough to just load NSC with out logging in and just got accosted with offers for up to £1500 in just 10 mins,at that APR I would owe £1600 before the cup draw.

But I know how it works with people who lend money - they take you for every penny they can - I have been fortunate not to have need a loan for over 20 years.....No relevance to me so no idea why I get this - does not relate to my other web activities.....

NSC needs ads to fund the site and are totally reasonable in principle but some people might regard payday lenders as not welcome.

I get that - but does the ad need to cover part of the NSC logo?

For anyone else - if you post the URLs of troublesome adverts I'll gladly block them.

I didn't know the ad banner was crossing the NSC logo as it doesn't for me - I'll look into it.

the banner is ok until you resize the broswer too narrow for logo+banner ad. it does look wider than, has the provider changed (ad choices) or have they changed the ads?

incidently, discussing the advert in question will generate more instance of it and similar related services... i see it now when i didnt before.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
The ads have crossed the logo ever since NSC was last updated.

Also using XP I have to set the security settings to max to even get NSC to turn over a page - otherwise my CPU useage and memory useage goes beserk 99% and 100mb. Anyone know why (other than crap PC). Windows 7 on laptop though seems to work ok

No advertiser changes - I probably stuffed it up when I upgraded vBulletin and had to re-apply ads etc.

Thanks Bozza - I know it is a little pedantic of me but it does grate ..... Incidently my browser is set to 110% zoom (old eyes!)

..... also sorry to those who got in to hot water for trying to help. I suspect you use those tools for preventing pop ups etc on many other sites but also happen to frequent NSC where it does the same.....

...Bozza could I respectfully request clemency in this instance for the above "advert three"?

NSC never has and never will use pop-ups. If a couple of relatively unobtrusive banner ads is too much for someone, they can go somewhere else.
