First game of the season yesterday and noticed few things

1. Nicolas is class this lad could be the difference between staying up or going down sign him now
2. Kuipers kicking was worse than normal plus he should have come out and got the through ball for the goal- when is roberts back
3. We showed fight
4. Knight looked good, he will score soon
5 Mcghee looks like he knows what he is doing
6.Mcphee looked good when came on

all in all pretty happy with team, they want it as it showed after our goal would have taken point before game

Kuipers kicking, particularly in the first half was getting caught in the surprisingly strong wind that we didn't notice in the stands.

If you notice, the Watford keeper was having a similar problem in the 2nd half.

7.Jarrett looked good when came on

Quick as shit off a stick. Indeed, faster by far than any shit-stick combo I ever saw. Reckon that lad could yet turn out to be the REAL find of the close season. Plus, Currie's favourite pass is the long diagonal one that goes straight to Jarret's feet. Gotta LOVE that move

Over-critical of Kuipers, IMHO... I hope he gets a long run in the team... came off his line well all game... where were Cullip and Butters for their goal?...

Leon looked poor again... he should be doing what Webber did...

I saw Kuipers commanding his area very well at time. Noticed him flying out to catch balls, under pressure, on the edge of the area.

kuipers looked a lot better today, he was back to his old self somewhat. although id still prefer roberts

Kuipers had two dodgy back passes to deal with (one a header from Cullip, I think), and got there first both times. The Micky Adams philosophy would be to keep him in the team....and I'd agree.

Appealing for offside (which it looked)

Kuipers' kicking has been much improved this season. Last season they were barely making the halfway line because he was getting right underneath them. Why does Jarrett not start? he looks like the only player that wants to take on defenders and run at them. Would love to see Nicolas and Carpenter in central midfield together, think they would work well.

Agree totally, Kuipers was distinctly improved yesterday, especially on control of the area where he has looked a bit weak. I think Roberts is slightly the better of the two, but while he's doing nothing wrong he has to stay in.

Kicking in the first half was very funny. I had no idea it was so windy and Kuipers' reaction to the barracking from the fans was great, encouraging to see such passion in a player. Now all he needs to do is learn how to kick in to wind - low.

Cannot see how Kuipers can be blamed for their goal... surely, Cullip and Butters lost Webber... and the ball was not in the 6 yard box when he received it...

Kuipers came off his line well yesterday, and not too often as Roberts often does...

plus if it was so windy why were the corner flags not blowing?

It was extremely windy as four people had to stay with the giant flag to stop it blowing away. One was place at each corner.
