Xbox live down

Hi guys

In case you all turned on your xbox in the last few hours and started panicking your xbox is broken because it wont connect to xbox live there is a known fault.

Basically Microsoft have massively ballsed up a firmware update - i mean massively - most o2, tiscali and sky customers can't get on hotmail.com, live.com, microsoft.com, MSN or xbox live. There is a thread here;

A firware update?? How does a firmware update balls up Xbox Live, Hotmail etc...

I think you'll find there was a small technical issue with XBOX Live which should be sorted any time now, if not already http://support.xbox.com/en-gb/Pages/xbox-live/xbox-live-status.aspx

Er, are you always such a wanker or is this your first time? the irony is i need to check my (hotmail) emails for confirmation of the booking of my wedding venue. who said anything about the situation in Japan? if all 14,973 of your other posts are that shit i don't think i'll bother reading in future.

Seems the word is that a firmware update was executed at the same time as a pre-planned major DDOS attack this morning, resulting in them shutting down several of their servers. Avast AV is still showing a virus, even though many services are back up again..
