More than 80,000 fans turned up in the early hours of Wednesday morning to see Barcelona draw 1-1 with Sevilla at the Nou Camp.
The game kicked off at midnight because Barca wanted to field their stars before they report for international duty.
The club was made to follow regulations by playing the game on Wednesday, rather than bringing it forward to Tuesday.
Ronaldinho scored Barcelona's equaliser and dedicated the goal to the fans who turned up in such large numbers.
"I didn't expect so many people to come and watch us at that time," said the Brazilian.
"It was a dream to play in front of so many people considering the time of day."
Jose Antonia Reyes had put Sevilla ahead with a penalty.
