As stated in the other thread, this is probably one of the quicker and easier things to organise and I don't mind doing it if people are interested.

As with previous meet-ups it would be a simple case of hiring a room in a pub and getting pissed together. As well as raising a bit of cash through buckets or the like, a prize draw or similar could be arranged plus there could also be 'on the spot' money raisers such as impromptu auctions like there were at the Forty Notes quiz night.

It's also an opportunity to put faces to names and to meet up with people that you perhaps haven't seen since the last gathering.

A special guest could also be arranged, as we had Mike Ward at last years summer do.

I know there has been a bit of negative press since the last get-together in May but I'm sure most people would agree that given the circumstances we can put certain differences aside for one night.

Whadda ya think?

An auction is a great idea. I have a football signed by Tony Gubba, Barry Davies and Paul Rogers!

Could the club provide some signed footballs/shirts/pictures to auction?

Yeah I'd go if I could make the given date.

good thinking Turkey, maybe when/if we get enough interest and it gets the go ahead we can ask in the Ask the Club forum!

Also have Games or something where you pay a small fee to play and that adds to the overall total, drinking games like two people on stage and the first one to drink a pint of beer through a straw or something...you know what I mean!
