I find it interesting that we are never asked to play friendlies against local league teams, like Southhmapton or Portsmouth, in fact I can't remember the last time we played a decent friendly away from home?

Anyone?

Perhaps we are not a bigger draw than we think we are

Although nor glamorious, we did play at Gillingham during the pre-season when we had just been promoted to Div 2, they were a Div 1 team and we visited them as a Div 2 side (that went on to win the league).

how much is a league game at Worthing?

I think this is the first time i will not go to an opening pre-season friendly £11 is a disgrace!!!

seeing as season tkt holders can watch reserve games free at woodside road surley it should be free for this game!

Bournemouth.

The Palace fixture list is pretty similar to ours; They are playing teams like Bromley and Whyteleafe.

They do, however, have the option of being able to afford to use their ground to invite Sporting Lisbon to play.

mmm, pre-season friendly is it? Well if you don't like it don't go.

This is the Albion offering something back into the local communities by playing these matches. The Worthing, Crawley, Woking, Lewes players are all looking forward to these games big time.

We asked people all over the county and country to give us their support, and they did in droves, well this is a bit of payback. If you get your clipboards out you might even get a few more letters signed to send to JP.

If you don't want to pay the money, never mind, it'll be a shame to miss you but it's still a choice you can make.

I went to see Worthing v Albion three years ago and the price was £5, so that's 120% inflation.

Given the pitch and the likelihood (based on previous matches between the two teams) that the Albion will field a weak line-up I think £11 is steep. That didn't stop buying 6 tickets though.
