The Italians and the British are through to the quarter finals...now its the turn of Group B - The group of death?

Group B - Indian, Spanish, Japanese, Argentina

There all winners for me, but surely the Indians won't fail on what is almost a homeground for curry? And who doesn't love a nice Paella or some spicy chorizo? Sushi is the big name player for the Japanese but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Then there's Argentina...a possible outsider but anyone who's had a mammoth Argentine steak and chips might just be tempted....

Ladies and Gentlemen, make your vote

It's Indian for me! Chicken Vindaloo please.

Got to be indian.

Its got extensive choice, every meat (apart from beef) is catered for. Most vegetarian cuisine in the world. Great regional differences.

HAS to be indian. paela is fantastic but i cannot base my vote on one moment of excellence. im looking for a consistant performance from the country in this tournament and the indians produce masterpieces everytime!:dunce:

Got to be Japanese. You can't beat the following:

Sushi or Sashimi
Yakitori (Chicken Meatballs, etc)
Japanese Katsu Curry
Seaweed Salad
Onigiri
Tempura
Yakiniku

MMMMmmmmmmmm...........Yummy.

:p

you're speaking my kinda language ts!

the only problem is japanese food in the west is 'fashionable' and costs a f***ing arm and a leg. we need to open a few izakayas and introduce the more down to earth style of japanese eating.

that said, curry is one of my almost national dishes...as is calamares, chorizo, cocido, fabada and some of the best seafood in europe. spain aint just paella!

braders, this is the best group of the lot!

Just really started to love Spanish food. Tapas is genius - little bits of everthing.

Particular favourites Chorizo baked in the oven in wine, Patatas Bravas - basically roast potatoes finished off in a spicy tomato sauce.

Fantastic with some of their ice cold white wine and perfect for a summer evening.

Tonight I have made a "spanish" tortilla, contain fried potatoes, some portugeuse rice, red peppers, garlic, parsley and some serano ham. All fried up, then tossed in 4 beaten eggs and returned to the pan.

It is now chilling in the fridge, along with some white wine ready for the France game. I will eat it with some rocket.

Was very tasty thanks. I've never made with it rice before - but It really makes a difference.

Added some sliced cherry tomatoes to the rocket and dressed it with a dressing made from olive oil, white vine vinegar, dijon mustard and honey.

Very tasy. Tortilla needs to served chilled I've now decided.
