Hopefully both are on the list as opposed to Wise on his own. Curbishly would be the only one higher up than those two but I doubt he would want it, IMO looks like Wise will be our next manager unless TB has someone in mind that no one's sussed out yet.

You can't argue with his footballing credentials, as a manager he has over 50% wins (out of 200 games), and as a player he played nearly 600 games, all at Premier or Championship level.

Somewhat better statistics than anyone we've had here in a long while.

He is a lot of a twat, but he might just be a capable of sorting us out.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
There are murmerings that his mates come in on high wages and upset the balance somewhat.

I don't think he is the worst manager we could pick, but I just don't trust him. The board are better placed to decide, so ce sera...

200 games? Is that all?

f***ing hells bollocks.

Slade, 422 games, 36% wins (but oddly never played the game)
Wilkins, 95, 37.8% wins
McGhee, 796 games, 39% wins
Hinshelwood, 14 games(?) 0.14% wins
Adams, 494 games, 37% wins
Taylor, 592 games, 42% wins
White and Booker, 1 game, 100% wins

I am totally for a joint partnership. What this club needs is a good kick up the arse. Last year Adams said he needed to cuddle some players, the Slade was everyones best friend. Wise will scare the shit out of people and Poyet will add the creative class that this club has been missing. If you hate wise, you cant hate Poyet, and if you liked Wise, you love Poyet. Either way, win win.
Also, remember that these are players who have played at the highest level for many, many seasons and also have a lot of contacts and notoriety within the game. This will only boost the Albions reputation as we move into falmer.

What EXACTLY do people hate about Dennis Wise, or is this just another NSC bandwagon to jump on?

I think to a certain extent its people jumping on the bandwagon. I say get the little git in, decent record as a manager (in his short career). He has also worked with Ken Brown at millwall so there is a conection already there. Could potentially bring Poyet with him who is highly regarded, even if he didn't come with i'm sure Wise could attract someone of a similar calibre.

Curbishley would be great but it's not gonna happen anyone who thinks he will is deluded, Southgate has the potential to be decent at this level but is a risk and probably wouldn't happen anyway. We are a third tier team we are not exactly going to be attracting the best names in football.

 i dont get it either, some rash tackles and a combative style, but well all loved Chippy, Oatway and Cullip for the same. Played 15 years in the top flight, took Millwall up to Championship and to the FA Cup and not too bad at Leeds (could have done better without the financial shenanigans going on?).

i think thats the problem, his association with not one but two disliked clubs and Ken Bates. which is fair enough. the funny thing is, why do people assume he wants to come here? wouldn't he see it as a step back?

SSN saying hes declared himself out the running anyway

Really ? that is bad news. Reminds me of when we appointed Slade with people ruling themsleves out. I can see another Slade type appointment coming up. We are just not a good option at the moment
