the good lady has vetoed my plans for us to holiday in oman as it's a terrorist threat (not true, but that's the decision).

can any of you good folks recommend somewhere for good winter sun? we've got a young son, so real long haul flighhts are a no no.

My Dad and Brother jetted of to the Canaries yesterday, walked into the travel agents a week or so ago and booked it at a bargain price i beleive.

So the deals are there.
