Prem clubs have a deadline on Tuesday...I thought they abolished the "lower" leagues deadline?

The deadline has nothing to do with us, unless we want a player from a Premiership club. We can sign players from any other club at any time.

I think Uncle C means the 12 o'clock deadline today so that they can play tomorrow.

In answer NO.

I thought the dealine was 4.00pm because you used to get clubs rushing forms up to Lytham St Annes usually by motorcycle courier during Friday before E-Mails Faxes etc.

Damian Hilton was a big target man. We could see if he is available as we could afford his wages.

I noticed Newport County now have a strike force of Jamie Moralee and Clive Wilson-Denis. Could we offer money for them?

I got the wrong first name but my excuse is he never played a first team game. Maybe Clive would be better if he exists anyway. Moralee scored twice for Newport last weekend though. He may have found his level.

prem clubs can still sell and loan to the football league after the dead line they just cannot buy

we've got two or three issues here

1 the deadline for a player to sign and be able to play for you at the weekend is 12 noon on the previous day.

2 the transfer window closes for prem clubs on tues and re opens again in january.

3 all other clubs can buy and loan players from anywhere they want.

on that last point i think that once the window is closed we will have a better chance of signing someone decent as the chance for them to sign with a prem side has gone.
