Does anyone think he will be on the bench? Second chance and all that. Or do you think that they will put Walker in?

Considering we probably won't need our sub keeper tomorrow it would be best to stick with Poke on the bench. If Gus drops him completely imagine what that would do to his confidence.

Unless we go without a keeper on the bench of course, increases our choice of options for outfield players if required, l mean what are the chances of a goalkeeper getting injured?

Thats the way Dean Wilkins felt during his tenure as manager.

Back when we had 5 subsitutes. In this new age of 7, there is no excuse.

Can Poke really be that bad? Put another way has anyone seen enough of him yet to totally dismiss the bloke in the way some fans seem to be doing?
I remember a time when Guy Butters was public enemy no 1 among the fans. I gather he (Poke) was a little unconvincing in the friendlies and made a mistake in the 2 bob cup but it does seem a bit early in his Albion career to totally write him off.

The problem is if he is called upon to come on very early for whatever reason he will get slaughtered by the fans and if Poyet drops him completely it will shatter his confidence which is the lesser of two evils. I would go witrh Walker as he. Poke, must live with his mistakes and either learn or fall by them .

I can see the reasoning behind that but is it not early enough in the season to give him a game and see how it pans out?

I think that Gus has made up his mind already by signing Ankergren rather than play him and the game at Northampton just confirmed the view, that he is either not ready yet or not good enough.

I think that's fair enough but some goalies seem to spend all season on the bench, so I hope he gets other games to enable him to improve.
