Will getting falmer reduce our away attendance?

Will you still go away when we have Falmer?

I know of a few supporters that only go to away games because they can't get tickets for home games.

I hope getting Falmer doesn't damage our away attendance records which are usually among the top in the league.

Away games are always a laugh - it's just a case of time & money.

Even with Falmer I think the away atmosphere will be better.

It really depends on how they do the seating arrangements at Falmer.

Most away matches you can chose where you sit/stand and therefore the singers tend to congregate.

The more matches people go to the more they want to attend.

Depends which division we are in I suspect. With Falmer's capacity limited to 22000 we will not be able to survive in the Prem financially, even if we did get there. No reason why we cannot be a good Div 1 club

Does capacity matter as much as it did?

Most money comes from TV deals these days (in the Prem anyway). 22,000 would be small in the Premiershite but more important is a manager who knows what he's doing.

Portsmouth doing a reasonable job so far with a 20,000 ground.

Wirh more people being able to watch the albion.. I would think the away attendence would increase as we start to recoup all our 'lost' faithful.

I think you read the question in the post title rather than the actual poll question - which is what I would have done if I hadn't seen this post first. So like me only a partial :dunce:

Is it not the case that we get a very small cut, if any from our away attendance, so any transfer from away games to home games would benefit the club financially? It would still be a shame if the level of away support dropped as I'm sure it must have been a factor in the 2 championship seasons, as well as our near escape last season

I didn't renew my season ticket because of Withdean. I'll get a season ticket at Falmer, but that won't stop me going to away games! Away games are better because we have camaraderie!

Yes sorry guys I didn't plan that very well. But misleading.
The actual Poll question is too small.

i think falmer will INCREASE our away support. If more people can get tickets for home games this means more people will get hooked on brighton and will increase the number of fans wanting to go to games. We have lost out on a couple of generations of support who would turn up to a game as a one off, get hooked and keep coming and bring their mates. because of gillingham and withdean people cant just turn up. With Falmer you will get NEW fans and this will mean more supporters so in theory more wanting to travel away.

If we made the Premiership, couldn't the capacity be extended (eg. filling in corners...)???
