Apparently it had to coincide with the release of the album.

Maybe FBS should have released his album on Saturday

I thought they were much better shirts than the current light coloured stripes. Who in their right mind would buy one of those ?

If they had to change the kit this season then I reckon the dark blue strip looks far better.

why did we have to wait till fbs release of the album

Because it is his record company that is sponsoring the kit?

Sloppy marketing IMHO re: the new shirt. Fans are gagging for it, DK was wearing one on the march on Monday, the players were wearing 'em yesterday, and on the strength of the back-of-a-fagpacket-effort new FBS single, not a lot of album sales forecast. Where's the advantage in holding sales of the shirts back til Monday with the next home game a couple of weeks away? Not everybody who goes to games has easy access to the club shop. That's what the mobile shop is for.

And if the above constitutes a moan, well yada yada y'know

It has had far more publicity than the last 3rd kit that we had. The red batwinged seagull top hardly sold at all.

As you say fans are gagging for it so will buy it regardless and the publicity got on tv.

Can we also buy FBS new album through the club shop? would like to get it and rather give the retailer slice to the albion than HMV etc?

If the club can, then they should definately give it airplay at the withdean and sell few copies. I know I'm not alone in my thoughts.

Sorry Yorkie I disagree and have an example....went to Withdean yesterday with my Brother (from Newcastle) both of us would have bought these shirts if they were at the mobile shop. I can almost guarantee he won't get around to it now (unless I get him one for xmas).

In my opinion this is an example of where the club should reflect and learn (even the albion aren't perfect I'm afraid). The shirts must be sat somewhere in boxes in the club shop anyway. Its a shame they won't realise quite as much revenue as they decided not to draw on the event in order to sell shirts.

I agree with you and I was just playing devil's advocate trying to reason out why the club/Skint records had done this.

Ned had been told by the club shop that there would be some shirts for sale at the mobile shop on Sat but the bulk would be on sale from today.

We were as disappointed as anybody.

I agree they should have been on sale. not just from the van either - if they'd had a few boxes once people got through the turnstiles, I think there'd have been a lot of impulse buys.

Having said that, the whole Palookaville thing got a load of publicity for the ground again so it shouldn't all be complaints.
