Does the BBC really think people will rather watch bloody Graham Norton, or are they not contracted to show highlights tonight?
Simple really. The BBC only have contractual rights to show highlights of Football League games played on a Saturday, hence why their was no programme on Boxing Day either.

That would be a very strange rights deal. Why would the Football League not want midweek games to be shown?
It would be up against Champions League highlights a lot of the time.
