Why is S1A designated the South Stand?

I'm normally in the WSU with mates but I got tickets for the Watford game as a Christmas present for my son and his friend's mum did the same. I asked for the East Stand and as I was in early I got them. Took the ones for my friends round to them earlier so they can be delivered by 'Santa' and noticed they had 'South Stand' S1A on them. Having spent a few minutes fuming that I may have been sold the wrong area I checked the ground map and S1A is very much on the East side and you enter through the East Stand entrance.

I know this is a particularly uninteresting thread but I'm a pedantic bastard and I need an explanation to my confusion. Surely any seat on the East side of the ground should be in the East Stand?

Basically the blocks that the club have designated as S this season are ones that could be used by Away fans.

They've rarely sold the ones in the East to Away fans since changing this at the start of the season.
