My girlfriend last night was "wet like a river". Her words, not mine, hence the speech marks. To be honest, I didn't know what she was talking about and stuck the telly on while she headed to the toilet and spent ages in there. I'm used to her crying by now but it was particularly loud this time.

If the return period for such tsinamis is less than 1 in 250 years, which I doubt, then yes.

developers like to build on flat land and flood plains tend to be nice and flat. and as said we've built most settlements around a supply of freash water, which tends to mean by a river. this is taught in secomdary school Geography, so asking this question is a bit stupid.
