Hawesy is an excellent commentator and Harty really makes the phone in. Yes sometimes there is a bit of engaging mouth before brain - but I don't think a couple of slips justify a P45.

I think a lot of people dislike Harty because he expresses his opinions (which many NSC-ers disagree with), however I think that the phone in would be plain boring without an unopinionated host.

I'd be much sorrier to lose Byrne and Hawsey than Hart as I find the commentary far more essential listening than the phone in. Having said that I hope the phone in with Harty stays

Having now seen the poll, there are quite a few attractive other options:

I am especially liking Andy Naylor and Mark McGhee - they could perhaps retell some storys of the fun they had when they were off laying rounds of golf.

Lord Bracknell and Trigger would be good too... maybe there could be an NSC guest host every week? The possibilities are endless!
