Agreed totally - but the great escape aside, we weren't going anywhere under him.

Jimmy Case was loyal, shame he was shit though.

Stevey Gritt was pretty loyal too but unfortunately it dont make u a good manager

Loyalty in football? Come off it. As long as we don't have a proper stadium, we're always likely to lose our good managers. At the moment, Reading are a bigger club than us - they play in a higher division, have a brilliant stadium and have a ton of cash to spend on players. Put simply, Steve Coppell was offered a better job than the one he had at Brighton. Yes, we 're all very disappointed but I don't think you can really blame the man for being disloyal.

I'll obviously endorse that.

However, Wood and Hinshelwood were both loyal, just cr*p.


Although Adams left us rather than being sacked, I wouldn't say he was disloyal.

Sacked or resigned, are the only two options, so generally you are looking at either disloyal (in most people's view) or cr*p (in at least the Chairmans view).
