I too always follow the results and watch (if there is the opportunity) the other Home sides a long with Eire too. I would want them all to win against other nations.

It is sometimes funny when they slip up, just as it is funny to others when we do, moreso when the result is not too crucial. The shit i have taken from the Germans this wekend over the Austian result would pretty much show that this is the same across the board.

Listen to London Irish above, and most importantly ffs lets start playing like a professional football nation and stuff em :smokin:

as an aside, with regard to the unprofessional showing on Saturday, would Sir Clive Woodwood have allowed us to let go of a 2 goal lead through miscommunication ?
Where was the intercom/radio in the water bottle?

Err, generally we do too.

And considering the relative country sizes, thats a hell of an acheivement. (4.1 vs. 60 million)
Disagree. Over a certain size national population is irrelevant otherwise every final would be between USA and China and the old USSR would have won a hatful of tournaments. Uruguay are a nation of about 5 million (roughly the same as Scotland) and they've won the World Cup twice. Obviously you need SOME players to pick from (although even the little statelet north of you has qualified for the finals more times than the bigger nation of Wales) but in bigger populations talent can slip through the net, smaller countries can't be so prolifligate. Also no matter how big your population - you're only allowed to have 11 of them on the pitch at any one time.

PS - Have I spelt 'Uruguay' right? Don't think so.

It would appear very quiet out there. Easy 10, hope you enjoyed your comedy viewing on Friday. Hope you stayed in on Saturday as well because f*** me I roared like a lunatic when that second goal went in for Austria
Can you PLEASE leave me be. I'm still trying to shift the yoke from my eyebrows, and I'm having great difficulty crawling back under this damned stone.

Fear Not Easy 10, egg on faces os part of life. I am sure we will provide you all with more hilarity in the future.

However I would say that I see real problems for you boys trying to shift that brainless, talentless buffoon, if you are going to establish yourselves as a top footballing nation.

Which buffoon I hear you ask................well, that is the question.

BY the way you should realsie that there si an element of real enjoyment watching Scotand at the moment as we are under no pressure to succee. Any positive results are an improvement and I think you would all ahve to admit that we were far better on Friday night than any of you thought we would be.

Waits now for the imminent disaster against Slovenia................

Only when you've got an English manager, though. ;)

Cos it winds you up, innit? Wind yer neck in a bit and the Celts probably would give up.

Bit low brow for you I'd have thought, LI.

I don't generally give a shit about the other home nations (and why Ireland gets so much coverage is beyond me, given that it's a foreign country) and do find it rather sad that the Scots in particular don't care what happens to them so long as England slip up. That must be a pretty depressing life to lead.

DT, that's Scotland though isn't it? A good result against a major team (leaving aside the fact it was an experimental Spanish side it would still have beaten most teams) is always either then ruined by a cruddy performace (Costa Rica) or rendered irrelevant by a previous cruddy performance (Iran).

I'm more worried about the England Rugby team at the moment, the way we're going we could lose to Scotland in the Six Nations. Now that WOULD be humiliating, the Rugby equivalent of losing to San Marino.
