Almost 50 savoury pies have been stolen in a raid on a Hampshire garden centre.

The thieves took a crate of 48 pies, a crate of 18 pieces of cod and a box of jumbo sausages from Arturi's Garden Centre on Allington Lane, Fair Oak.

It is believed the burglars must have used a vehicle - which police said could have been parked in Allington Lane - to make their escape.

The break-in happened some time between 1700 GMT on Friday and 0845 GMT on Saturday.

A yellow transformer, which is used to power lighting, was also stolen.

Pc Paul Osborne, of Eastleigh police station, said: "Due to the size and weight of the items stolen we believe it is likely that the offenders would have used a vehicle in order to transport the goods."

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact Hampshire Police.

Apparently the police are now chicken to see how mushroom the vehicle would have needed.

They also believe the burglars had a sauce on the inside.

Stop Press: Hampshire Police have arrested two suspects.

They're currently being grilled at Eastleigh police station.
