I think it has to be Mac Allister or Gyokeres.

A midfield two of Baleba and Mac Allister would rival any team in the league. He combines incredible technical ability with great physical attributes, relentless running and defensive contribution.

Gyokeres finished second in the golden boot. Don't really need to say much about how he would improve us.

It’s Mac Allister. The question is about improving the team - he does that wherever he goes at every level.

As RDZ said ages ago, he is so good at both the attacking and defensive side of the centre midfield game that he allows you to play an additional luxury player going forward or an additional CDM going backwards.

I think he’s the only player we’ve really struggled to replace.

Not sure i'm indulging in some fantasy parlour game which looks backwards when we have so much to look forward to.

That said, Gyokeres

Gyokeres. Has to be.

Defence: we're signing players, but none of those listed in this poll are a right back. If fit JpvH, Webster and Dunk can do a job. Likewise Estupinan on the right.

Midfield: Love Mac and he improves any team, but our midfield is pretty strong and held up last season.

Strikers: We have Welbeck up front who is in his later years and injured half of every season. Our next most experienced big target man is Ferguson who's struggling.

Stick in any top level striker and we'd fly. Hopefully, Tzimas can step up into this role for us.

Taking into account the current squad we have.

Inspired by a question in the Argus about fans opinions on the season.

Forgetting he’s a fuzzy long haired conniving **** both on and off the field I’d vote for Cucurella 😲

You?
Second choice for me behind MacAllister.

We struggle more when play breaks down, and MacAllister has a fantastic footballing brain both in and out of possession, which may save us now and again.

I’m still relatively happy with Pervis, plus Ferdi so as good as the curly haired twat is, I don’t see he’s as necessary

Head says Mac Allister.

Heart says Gross. He would have taken a bit of control of the games we let slip from us, when 3 points became 1.

It would never happen, but I reckon Trossard would be in with a shout.

"In the 2024-25 season, Leandro Trossard led Arsenal with 56 appearances, surpassing all other players."

From the rest of the list, I would say Ali Mac, or maybe Ben White to help the defensive rebuild? Gyökeres, I'm not convinced, partly because yes, he might score a lot of goals, but that wasn't really an issue this past season...
