Not sure if this is a photoshop job or not, I pass it on for what its worth
Any feature that gives the club a say doesn’t sound like a release clause. I have genuinely thought long and hard about such a mechanism and can’t think of anything other than a traditional transfer deal of paying an amount the selling club agrees as acceptable.
Besides, release clauses are rare in English football contracts, and we certainly don’t do them.
Probably something like that, but not a binding release clause. Mac certainly didn’t look like he was desperate to leave on Sunday.None of us know. Guessing based on Ornstein, it appears to set a max price and a process that protects the club …. certain things need to be ticked before he’s allowed to leave mid contract. For MacA he got a pay rise and assurance that the club wouldn’t ‘imprison’ him like Kane or Zaha.
