Where has the team work ethic gone?

It seems to me that we have lost the team ethic that was built up by Micky Adams, and took us through to two championships.

Every member of the team was prepared to give 100% in the game.

There were times when we were playing against better teams on the day, but the work ethic meant we came out of the game with someting (like Tranmere away two seasons ago we they worked their bollocks off to get a 0-0 draw).

There were times when we were evenly matched but the work ethic and the finishing of bobby meant we won a lot of games 1-0 (like Bristol City away, like Reading away if the referee had not disallowed a perfectly good goal).

We used to chase and harrass when the opposition had the ball, we appeared fitter than the opposition, able to work harder and run further during the game.

We used to cover a lot opf ground in midfield, playing a slick (and very watchable) pass and move game.

All this seems to have gone by the wayside, and without it we are an average team (Knight possibly excepted).

Unless we can recapture some of these attributes I cannot see us finishing inside the playoff positions, let alone getting automatically promoted.

It was a gutless performance yesterday, let's hope McGhee can turn it around.
