Where, in your opinion, are Brighton & Hove's best drinking establishments located?

Where exactly are the "South Lanes"? :nono: :nono: :nono:

North Laine and Hanover.

What are you getting at?

The Lanes are often referred to as South Lanes, I see nothing wrong with that description

I do. That's what I'm getting at. The area's called "the Lanes".

I agree, but some people get confused between The Lanes and North Laine so I simplified it.

SORRY

Wrongly. There is only one 'Lanes' area, so why the need for an adjective to describe their location?

It's one of those infuriating things when people describe areas of Brighton, like saying St James' Street is in Kemp Town.

Oh, and in answer to your question, they're dotted around all over the place, but the best concentration of decent pubs are in Hanover or the North Laine.

What annoys me more is when people say "The" Withdean! I go into bull terrier mode snapping and frothing!!

I think the best pubs are at The Withdean and in The South Lanes.

For the purposes of this poll the Evening Star counts as North Laine
