As stated Mrs Glover and I are going to the Plymouth game next Saturday. Rather than wander around Plymouth on our own in our colours before the game, is there a public house where the Albion fans are going to congegrate before the game ?. Any ideas ?.

whatch yourself in Plymouth Gareth. they are all inbred sailor boys and thugs to boot!

We get there with about an hour to go...park in the car park and chat with other Albion fans in a pleasant chatty sort of way.

Been there many times - there really are not (m)any pubs convenient for the ground. On one recent visit there we were lucky enough to talk ourselves into 'The Far Post Club' - a sort of social club inside the ground. It may well not be there now, however and even if it is - it's hit an miss as to whether they let in away fans.

When we were down there for the 'Promotion game' we drank around the waterfront area - very nice indeed - and then drove up to the ground.

Football ground guide says:

I went to the Cherry Tree, which is a good 15-20 minute walk away from the ground: from the car park at the home end turn right and walk up the hill along the main road. At the large set of traffic lights at the top of the hill turn left and you can see the pub about 50 yards down on the right. Terry from Plymouth also recommends the Pennycomequick (great name!) if you are walking to the ground from the railway station. Dave Potham recommends the Britannia which is the closest pub to the ground and is a Wetherspoons outlet. However this pub is opposite the Embassy Club, best avoided by away fans'. Otherwise alcohol is available within the ground.

Around the Waterfront is very nice! Was there a few weeks ago with my girlfriend.

Expect very long queues though if you wanna buy any burger like food in the Waterfront area.

Before the promotion game - ahhh memories!- we all drank in the Far Post Club. Beer and food was cheap and they also had a live band.

It costs a quid to get in and you get in round the far side of the away terrace, the lacls were very friendly too.

Ahhh, the Cherry Tre. As per the directions above. I got absolutely stuffed out of sight last time by an outrageously talented pool player amongst our clan (I'm not half bad, but Boyda all but humiliated me on the geeen baize).

It didn't seem to matter though, as we'd just sealed promotion from D3 at the time, I was off my face, and we'd just lit up on the Havana's.

Marvellous scenes.
