Brain dead MUG SHEEP
I thought Hemed was good at pens, but this guy is probably the best I've ever seen, he's on another level. He has such a cool, languid style and seems totally unfazed by the tension of the situation. The old adage is that you pick your spot and don't change your mind. But that slow jogging-on-the-spot run-up seems to give him that vital split second before the strike to read which way the keeper is committing to, then he just calmly strokes it the other way.
I don't think Pedro even even knows which way he's going to hit it until the last moment. Which makes it a pretty pointless exercise for goalkeepers to bone-up on his previous pens in the hope of seeing where he is likely to place it.
The law of averages say he'll miss one eventually of course, he's only human. But then Le Tissier only missed 1 in his entire career, so hopefully JP will be the same !
