And will he need to be booted out with the assistance of the Western infidels?

I can't believe he hasn't gone already. I'd have thought if he'd gone quietly, he might have been offered residency in some other Arabian country with an appalling human rights records, like Saudi. Or maybe Italy.

Instead, he's fighting to the death which will probably mean the people will lynch him. Obviously, it can't come soon enough, but I reckon it'll take another 5 days.

Tbh I'm more concerned that not content with asset stripping our Armed Forces the Prime Minister appeared not to rule out military action:glare:

Libya: 'Cameron Is Plotting Regime Change'.....
The Libyan regime has accused the British government of being behind the recent unrest in Arab countries.
Khaled al Koabi claimed to have information that Britain is "planning to carry on some activities that can create an environment of instability in some Arab countries, for the sake of changing regimes. He also called on British MPs to oppose what he called the Government's "dangerous behaviour".

These comments scare the living daylights out of me.

I suspect recent comments from the UK and the US are designed to scare those Gaddafi henchmen into switching sides instead of bravely bombing their own relatively unarmed people.

Probably got a recurrence of the terminal illness he had until he was released, maybe we can bring him back for treatment?

I would agree. I suspect that they have people on the ground there doing some gentle persuasion as well. Once they are finished there, perhaps they could take a trip a bit further south and have a word or two with Uncle Bob's mates.

Whilst I have no love for this bloke, doesnt putting British/American planes into the mix mean we are interfering in a civil war and taking sides (doesnt matter who is right/wrong, its a civil war)? The Chinese put down their opposition from the Uigars without a lot of interference from the west (ie none).

You are correct but Libya has OIL and lots of it so we & the US instantly take a big interest.

We should stay out of it and let the Libyans finish the job. If the Libyan people want help then they will ask for it. This is their revolution it is in their interests and we should not let ours interfere.

One question about the 30 old year dictator ruling of Libya, by Gaddafi:-

Why's he still only a Colonel?

Surely the 1st lesson they teach at dictator school, is Army promotion to General.

apparently its because the Libya is run by the people (in his original post coup view i assume), so he doesnt a grand title.

in looking this up i discovered he has an all female body guard, the Amazonian Guard. i like to think there's good and bad in everyone, and i think this shows even tyrannical despots have their lighter side.

Gaddafi seems to be riding it out, he might just survive. I don't think he's going to be going anywhere soon

Not convinced by that at all. Even in Tripoli, the rebels are getting increasingly confident.

And f*** me, it's even kicking off in IRAN now.

He must have realised his number was up when his private nurse (the Eastern euro blond with big tits) f***ed off back to the Ukraine.

The outside world has no right to intervene militarily even though it looks as if Gadaffi might well put down the uprising. It has to be left to the Libyans to try and get rid of him.
Although if we could destroy his military pile, perhaps we could sell Libya some more weapons so that they can slaughter their own people in the next uprising?
