Who should we get to play the official opening game? A big name club? Someone big and foreign? Or someone who has helped up in darker times, eg Charlton (Fans United) Doncaster or Hereford(cos they were even worse than us) or Southampton (cos we played the last game at the Dell at their request)?

Perhaps a tournament combining all?

What say you all? :D

Yeah AFC Wimbledon would be a really great idea.

Brings it round full circle to how our problems started.

Southampton? We played the first and last ever games at the Dell against them, it would be nice to return the favour.

Do you think the club will let people go in the ground before the first game?
Just to sit on the pitch and maybe have a beer or a sandwich?
Soaking up the ambience, watching the clouds cast shadows over the new North Stand as they pass gently through the sky.
In awe of the size and glory of what has/shall/will become.

Ahhhh...time for another I think!:smokin:

It should be a big event for a brilliant venue .

Brighton and Hove Albion vs The British Royal Family

BHAFC vs ENGERLAND

or, and more realistically (and sensibly :)
Old Albion Associates mixed with current team faves. This would gather the likes of Wardy, Willie Irvine, Sully, Bobby Gould, Byrne, Eric Steele, and generally everyone we liked in Albion history

Border country.East Preston.
Southampton.
They are the example we must follow.Playing them first would be a statement to the country announcing the beginning of the South Coast revival.
