Watching Porto win wearing blue and white stripes and blue shorts I just knew somehow that it was going to be our day.
And what a surrealistic one it's been.
On the way home met Ivor Caplin in a motorway service station and had a brief chat.
Now I have just got home (1.30am) with the last few miles in a taxi shared with Danny Cullip, Bob Booker and Matt Hicks - and yes I even had the Nationwide Playoff Cup dangling on my knee.
I'm still on cloud 999 !!
When the pen was given I just could not believe my watch - just 8 minutes to go. Knight smacks it home and the rest is history. Dreamland !!!
And guess what. In yesterday's Argus Mystic Meg prophesised that the Albion would win 1-0.
To have won promotion for the third time in four years. This is just too much and to have cuddled the trophy - one for the family scrapbook that. Absolutely true.
It's not very heavy but that's not the point. It's what it symbolises. We are back in Div 1 and let's hope we can consolidate there until Falmer comes on stream.
