Either Late 96 or early 97 (Cannot remember exactly when NSC first appeared on the Seagulls Server, initially it was just a guestbook to leave messages of support).

And I can even remember my 1st post !!!

Test.

This was the first ever message to check of the board worked correctly. Little did I know what would happen over the next 6 years.

Pretty much as it started. Can't remember how I found it, but it was the old enterprise/GJC site. Must have been 1996, it was deffo before Fans Utd, but I can;t pin it down.

Gary C, when did you start the board ? I have a feeling it was 95/6 but I could be wrong.

The Seagull Server was formed in the 95-96 season just prior to the infamous York City match. I used to subscribe to the Argus and re-type the match reports etc, so that overseas fans could get more information on the club.

I contacted the club to see if they would release information, but got a polite letter back from Derek Allan saying to ring the club line for info and wished me well. I don't think the board was very interested in the internet at the time. Well we got our own back less than a year later with Fans United !!!!

Just think we as a club could have been at the forefront of technology with a club site in 1996 if Bellotti and Archer would have agreed to my suggestion (news, club shop, reports etc.).

Bought my first PC in November 1996 & subscribed soon after. Kept on posting during maternity leave then sort of gave up when I had to go back to work, been a regular on here since the end of last season.

September 2001 for me, shortly before you played us at Ninian Park (1-1 draw). I posted under the name of Quint in those days.

Hee hee. I remember that, but then I was one of the clique. :dunce:

We had a big argument once as well didn't we?

I first posted on here in 1996 I think - but didn't become a regular until November 1997.

Ah yes Mr Ayling, and I remember you chastising me for giving some opposition wang curs a good baiting for their impudences.
Some cliquesters didn't want to 'stick by their own' when it came to Albion unity. I recall a few insults flying my way when a couple of members thought I was banned from posting !!
I think my 'user-name' got a few people's backs up as I got called a nazi several times....... or maybe it was because of that march into Poland...... well anyways, I know the clique were split about how NICE mr Hilter really was.

I can't imagine why. However, there was an element of scorn for the sandwich brigade too, and some others thought it a bit 'studenty' .

I remain faithfully,
No Mates Hitler .

To be fair, duh has been less of a total plonkuh than when he first began lying his way onto the chat forum .
I still have to wonder if some contributors aren't figments of the mods' imaginations put here to exacerbate and incite people to post in outrage .

looney has such a running thing about authority, I suspect him of even being a mod too.

April this year. Started a thread about seeing bands in small venues before they were famous. A healthy number of people joined in but it was the day that we'd been beaten by Leicester so relegation was pretty much a certainty and Arse Block took exception to my ill-timed thread :lolol:
