Yesterday I watched the game from the back of J Block but I was thinking next match I might steward the North Stand so that I can get a better view.

What is the view like in the North Stand, and is it hot in the sun? I don't want to get too hot in my big yellow jacket.

I sat in North Stand for one game and I much prefer my seat in the South Stand, but then again, I have a brilliant view from my seat! Also, I don't like sitting in constant sun throughout the whole game (not that I think you'd have to worry too much with this weather).

Be better for you as not so far too walk from the turnstiles after you've confiscated some kiddies can of Fanta so you can have a half time drink

Yeah, the vans are limited over there. It sounds strange, but when I was going in through to my seat I didn't feel like I was at a Brighton match, I didn't like it.

Fear not, Dullard, about the change in temperature if you move from the Dark Side. Allegedly, some elderly Northstanders take their seats in a completely naked state. You see, blankets & thermos-flasks are readily available - so there really isn't any need to worry about taking along bulky, awkward toggs. I hope this helps

View from the North Stand is hopeless, WAY too low down. Only the view from the away fans section or the dugout could possibly be worse.

Back row of the North Stand is alright - and on those rare occassions when the Withdean crowd is going the atmosphere is quite pleasant as you can hear the noise coming from the South Stand.

Also the experience of walking in amongst players/celebrities (Des!) is a bit different.

That said, the view from the front is limited, particularly in the 'wings'. And you still get wet at the front if it rains. Oh, and it's a BITCH in the sun.

Definitely worth doing though if you haven't before.

It's like the view from the South Stand, but the other way around. Hope that helps.

I think we're alone now
You get ALL the stewards looking at you, even the majority of the ones that are supposed to face the South Stand seem to face the North for some reason, and they get 5.32 an hour for the priviledge.

On the club site I can be seen in the front row of the north shielding my eyes from the brilliance of the game, I mean sun.

The workmate, sitting to my left, was dressed for typical Withers weather and was wearing a heavy hat and jacket. When he took his jacket off at half time he riminded me of Tony blair in his famous blue shirt.
