what happens when a mobile contract runs out?

tomorrow is the last day of my contract i bought from the carphone warehouse on virgin mobile. does anyone know if the contract just ends and i hear nothing more from them. Or do i indeed have to ring up and cancell?

Usually the contract continues to roll month to month. If you want to cancel it you still need to give 30 days notice regardless.

unless you want to still be able to use the phone, in which case its probably quite handy.

Just ring them up and tell them you'd like to cancel now you're no longer tied to the contract.

They will most likely offer you a better deal and a new handset if you renew.

If you want to, milk it for all you can as there is always plenty of leeway with these things.

Otherwise if you want to go back to Pay as you Go or just want to switch networks be sure to ask for your PAC code so you can keep your number (assuming you want to) and it will take 28 days.

yes virgin mobile were very good and now i have the PAC so i can have the same number for when i buy my new iphone in the week.
