The fact that 90% of the fanbase seem to be boring moaning whingers who seem to be chronically depressed whether the Albion win or not.

It makes me feel a whole lot better about my own life.

Timely thread.

Going away with a few mates to a new ground, beers, a whole end getting right behind the team and getting some sort of result, especially if we've played well and really deserve it. Late equalisers/winners welcome. Happy journey home. Curry in London.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
The fact that the club and fans have achieved so much, against the odds over the last 10 years or so. Never say die attitude. We are not any old club. Our future as a club is down to us, a marvellous bunch of players and our Boardroom.

We might not own the club financially, but we sure as hell own it in spirit.

The democratic and free EU
The sense of expectation that we're going to win stylishly every week. You know: that wonderful warm glow that usually lasts until about two minutes after kick-off.

Standing in the way of control
Knowing that we have given Kerry Mayo an entire career in professional football. It gives me a warm, charitable feeling without having to give 3 quid a month to Oxfam.

I'm sensing Withdean isn't going to feature heavily in this thread.

The fact that in an uncertain world, when everything around you has turned bad, the club has always been there. I feel that the club has supported me as much i it.
It winds you up sometimes & makes you angry but you love it all the same

Spending over £70 to go to various away games, where you know we're not going to get a result- then going to Palace and winning.

Being man handled by over zealous neanderthalic stewards who would be otherwise unemployable, and told to sit down, despite the fact that there are usually 10,000 or so home fans standing the whole game.

Over priced train journeys with warm beer.

Being bottom of the third division by 12 points at Christmas and still avoiding relegation out of the league.

Being only the 7th Club to complete back to back championship victories in the League's history.

Reminding fans of "big" clubs that its only X years since we were in the Cup Final.

Being the Official Champions of England in 1910/11.

The memories of the North Stand.

Being a real fan of a real club not an armchair supporter of a Premiershit team they've never seen play live before and switch allegiance every season from Arse'N'All to Cheatski to Manure.

I don't care how many we lose, I'd rather support a football club like Albion because they are my local side and i've followed them since I was a kid, than Chelsea, Liv or ManU 'cos they are in the prem.

I even get excited going to Withdean!
