We've only got veggie pies left

So a year in, and shortly before the match they're out of all but veggie pies. Did they not know we were coming?

Half time comes, so I wait for the whistle and join the queue. Despite there being loads of people behind me, I get the last chicken pie.

Why is it that supplying food to those that want to buy it is so difficult?

No meat pies, no Harvey's at half time at my kiosk.

I wish they would just put a simple sign up when they sell out of a particular food item, it would save queuing.

I asked the girl if there was a new flavour of pie on offer. She replied "I have no idea it's my first day."

The problem with that is that it's a long queue, and even they wouldn't run out while you're at the back. It's only as you get close to the front that they run out.

Their policy should be to never sell out (before kick off or during half time). They should always be throwing some pies away. Yes, that'll cost a couple of pounds (although they could always sell them at half price late on, on days when they have plenty left), but it'll cost less than the loss of sales they're currently getting each week, and it will also lead to happier customers that get what they order.

It's not rocket science, why is it they're failing in this simple task?
