We don't seem to have any alternatives when opponents refuse to roll over.
Why?
Having players out injured? CMS and Bruno have been the "stand-out" players so far this season and we've certainly missed them in the last two home games.
No real alternatives on the bench? Last night it was really a case of swapping like for like - Buckley, basically a winger,Buckley for Lua Lua; Dicker for Hammond; Lopez for Orlandi. Granted Dicker and Buckley were a big improvement but all that really seemed to happen was the the play switched from a focus on the left to one on the right.
The two central defenders take too long to get things moving, giving opponents time to either close down or back-off and set up in midfield. Their passing is far too predictable and neither seem to know what to do when they are allowed to move forward with the ball.
No striker attacking in the box or holding the ball up - in recent games we've the seen the value of teams with someone who can/will do that. And given that we must have had twenty corners in the two home games, not once did anyone get on the end of one.
A lack of ideas from the management when things aren't working. No "Plan B"? The response seems to be to blame the opposition!
Of course we've not suddenly become a bad team but it does get frustrating when we've seen the quality that can be produced.
