West Sussex County Times dont want Brighton

As a Seaford resident about a decade ago it used to pee me off that the non-Brighton editions of the Leader never used to have the Richard Lindfield Albion columns (no loss some might say!). I wrote to the Leader/Evening Arsegas about it explaining that incredibly there are people in Sussex living outside of Brighton who are interested in the Albion. Not that I'd lay claim to having changed their policy on this, but not long afterwards the Lindfield columns started appearing in all editions of the Leader (well the Seaford/Newhaven/Peacehaven/Lewes editions anyway) and have been there ever since.

if an interview with Strike is not enough to win the county times back round then quit frankly I dont know what is.

You are being serious?

But seriously, richie, WHY don't they want Brighton coverage? The paper's circulation covers "Albion" territory and I'm amazed that they wouldn't have space to cover a team in the Championship.

I do hope you renewed your season ticket though!

When the Leader gave up producing a Lewes edition, there was a short-lived local paper called Lewes Life.

Desert Orchid wrote MILLIONS of words about the Albion. Roz took lots of pictures. And they even interviewed ME. And EVERYTHING.

For some reason it went bust.

I was joking about the strike bit.

I am amazed as well.

Damn, you could have had as the bottom question which team do you support and would you want them covered in the WSCT, the answer would have been SSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSS, bring back Albion coverage WSCT. Keep on trying to convince the editor.

I did reports for the last 7 or 8 games last year and they had some good feedback and the old sports ed loved them and was trying to get me a press pass this year. He was a Palace fan and still saw the relevance and enjoyed them. The new guy has come in and does not want them. Up to him I guess.

I assume the old guy was Richard Bryne, good to hear he's moved on to the Argus. And he was also living proof, flying in the face of a lot of rubbish sometimes talked on here, that who you support has any bearing on being able to do a good job. He was a Palace fan, but knew his market, and knew Brighton reports made his paper better so judged it on purely professional grounds.
