Clearly the better team tonight. Also this Is a blessing In disguise. No excuses
Looked like they deserved it. We are short up front - no breaking news that.
I am just concerned with the lack of general effort put in tonight - fair play to Swindon who played well second half, but with no focal point we could struggle unless GP can get someone to hold the ball up in the final third. If we can't get a striker why not play Dunky up front as we did with Virgo a few years ago?
What did they do, from half time, to stop Bruno and Bridge?
If DiCanio and a 'lower' league team can do a number on us, after 45 minutes, we might be in for a longer season than expected.

This is sort of my thoughts but......
It looks like we have a lot wrong:-
The system didn't work.
Some of the players don't look good enough.
We are seriously lacking an out and out striker. CMS excluded.
Defending was woeful.
Although no chance with the goals the keeper's positioning looks suspect on numerous occasions.
A lot to work on. 3 days to sort it.
No excuses but a lot to worry about. Nothing like a blessing in my book all considered.

well said. Swindon played us very well and took their chances. They seemed to want it much more than us, we were extremely letgargic. I think that playing on such a small pitch was a bit of a culture shock for us! And yes, definitely a blessing, both because it means our players will not be tired out by pointless league cup games, and because it will give the players a kick up the backside, showing poyet what is wrong:
